For the way you live

Make your favorite rooms feel better.

Tell us which rooms get uncomfortable and when. We can help you compare film for your glass and goals without treating every window in your home the same.

Manage solar heat

Address sun-facing rooms with film chosen to reduce heat passing through the glass. The right option depends on the window and its exposure.

Soften distracting glare

Make it easier to enjoy screens, read or work near a window. Compare the light levels and appearance before choosing a film.

Help protect your interior

Limit UV exposure to flooring, furnishings and artwork. Film can reduce one cause of fading, but it cannot stop every source of color change.

XPEL VISION · Architectural window film

Choose the film for the job.

Solar-control and privacy goals can call for different products. We help you compare the appearance and specifications for the glass you already have.

COMFORT & LIGHT

Solar-control film

Compare light transmission, glare reduction, heat rejection and reflectivity. A film that looks right on one building may not be the right fit for another.

PRIVACY & APPEARANCE

Privacy & decorative options

Discuss daytime privacy on exterior windows or a frosted, obscuring finish where the view needs to be limited. We’ll confirm the product and glass compatibility.

The glass comes first. Existing coatings, double-pane construction, glass condition and sun exposure affect film selection. We’ll discuss the appropriate option and warranty before installation.

Helpful answers

Residential window tint questions.

Will residential film make my rooms too dark?

Films vary in visible light transmission, reflectivity and appearance. Tell us how much natural light you want to keep, and compare suitable samples on your glass before choosing. Heat-control performance and darkness are different characteristics.

Does privacy film work at night?

Reflective film relies on a lighting difference for daytime privacy. When lights are on inside after dark, the view can change and people may be able to see in. Discuss your privacy goals with us; blinds, curtains or an obscuring film may still be needed.

Is film suitable for double-pane or Low-E windows?

We need to check the glass type, coatings, condition and exposure first. Not every film is appropriate for every window. We will explain the proposed film-and-glass combination and applicable warranty before installation.

Can window film stop furniture and floors from fading?

UV-reducing film can help address one contributor to fading. Visible light, heat, material quality and other factors also play a role, so film cannot prevent all fading or reverse damage that is already present.

How is a residential window tint quote calculated?

Film choice, window dimensions, the number of panes, access and old-film removal affect the price. Share photos and approximate sizes to start; we will confirm the details and coverage before the work is agreed.

When can I clean the windows after installation?

Follow the waiting period and cleaning instructions supplied for your installed film. Let the film dry as directed and use the recommended gentle cleaning method. If you see an edge lifting or another concern, contact us before attempting a repair.
